Nordal The Icelandic Culture, po czym sięgnięcie do znacznie bardziej szczegółowych opracowań naukowych, spośród których za szczególnie godne polecenia uważam książki O. Vésteinssona The Christianization of Iceland i W. I. Millera Bloodtaking and Peacemaking.
W polskiej literaturze przedmiotu praktycznie jedynym opracowaniem prawniczym jest mój artykuł Ustrój polityczny Islandzkiej Wolnej Wspólnoty w latach 930-1262 opublikowany w 2006 roku w Czasopiśmie Prawno-Historycznym (Tom LVIII, Zeszt 2, s. 9-23). Niemniej jednak po zapoznaniu się ze znacznie szerszym kręgiem źródeł i konsultacjach z islandzkimi specjalistami zmuszony jestem stwierdzić, iż zawiera on szereg błędów i nieścisłości, w związku z czym osoby pozbawione dostępu do zachodnich pozycji powinny raczej sięgnąć do zarysu problematyki opublikowanego na niniejszej stronie, niż wspomnianego artykuły. W najbliższym czasie witryna zostanie zaktualizowana o dodatkowe informacje/materiały.
